CenterBook Partners with Arcana Analytics to Strengthen Risk Analytics for Independent Fund Managers

Share

CenterBook Partners and Arcana Analytics have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at delivering advanced risk analytics and portfolio intelligence to independent equity managers. The partnership is designed to equip fundamental long/short managers with institutional-grade tools while preserving the autonomy that defines independent firms.

Under the agreement, CenterBook will incorporate Arcana’s analytics capabilities into its alpha capture and central risk management framework. Arcana’s platform provides real-time factor analysis, earnings analytics, portfolio optimization and hedging tools, and customized reporting. These resources will enhance portfolio construction, performance attribution, and overall investment oversight across CenterBook’s growing network of Contributor Funds.

In return, CenterBook is offering priority evaluation and a streamlined onboarding pathway into its alpha capture contributor program for qualified managers already using Arcana’s platform. The move creates a more direct channel for independent managers to access CenterBook’s compensation model, which includes fixed quarterly payments and a share of incentive fees tied to generated alpha, without caps on total earnings. Importantly, contributors retain full control of their firms, investor relationships, and investment processes.

“Managers who go independent often trade access to institutional-grade tools for autonomy. This collaboration breaks that tradeoff, providing better analytics to our Contributors, and an expanded pipeline for CenterBook,” said K.C. Hamann, Director of Research at CenterBook. “We’re excited about our partnership and shared vision with Arcana, which we are confident will help our network of fundamental independent managers to meaningfully scale their operations and outcomes for investors.”

Arcana leadership echoed that sentiment. “CenterBook represents exactly the kind of sophisticated, process-driven firm where our analytics add real value,” said Rich Falk-Wallace, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Arcana. “We’re excited to support their network with our portfolio intelligence platform and to work together as CenterBook continues to expand coverage and add value to its managers.”

Together, CenterBook Partners and Arcana Analytics aim to close the gap between independence and institutional sophistication in asset management.
