Accenture Enhances Nordic AI Capabilities with Halfspace Acquisition

Accenture has acquired Halfspace, a Denmark-based AI company founded in 2015, to strengthen its AI capabilities in the Nordic region and across Europe. Halfspace specializes in developing AI and generative AI solutions that streamline complex business workflows, transforming data into actionable insights. The acquisition will integrate Halfspace’s expertise into Accenture’s Center for Advanced AI, extending its reach into the Nordics. Halfspace has completed over 100 data and AI projects for large Nordic organizations, and its team of nearly 80 professionals brings diverse expertise in fields such as physics, engineering, and computer science.

The company also maintains strong partnerships with leading AI platform providers, including Databricks, Microsoft, and NVIDIA. Carsten Sachmann, Accenture’s lead for the Nordic region, stated, “AI adoption is accelerating across the enterprise faster than any prior technology. Our research shows that 69% of executives believe it brings new urgency to reinvention.” Claus Bek Nielsen, CEO of Halfspace, commented, “By combining forces with Accenture, we can further scale our solutions and industry reach, delivering even greater results for our clients across the Nordic region.”
