Numero AI has acquired Royu in an undisclosed cash-and-stock deal, combining two AI-first companies focused on transforming enterprise finance operations through agentic AI systems. The acquisition strengthens Numero’s vision of building an AI-native “system of work” for the Office of the CFO, where AI workers can execute complex finance workflows including close, reconciliation, reporting, order-to-cash, SEC filings, and technical accounting with enterprise-grade accuracy and auditability. As part of the transaction, Royu co-founders Viswajith and Sathya will join Numero’s leadership team as Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer, and Chief Technology Officer, respectively, alongside the broader Royu team.

“This acquisition represents more than bringing two teams together – it brings together deep finance domain expertise, enterprise-grade engineering, and a shared conviction that the future of finance operations will be AI-native,” said Karthik Ramamoorthy, Co-Founder and CEO of Numero AI. “Finance teams today are under increasing pressure to do more with leaner organizations while maintaining accuracy, auditability, and control. Together with Royu, we are accelerating our vision of building an agentic system of work for the Office of the CFO.” The combined company aims to help finance organizations reduce reliance on fragmented systems and manual processes while enabling teams to shift toward oversight, governance, and strategic decision-making. Royu’s engineering expertise, combined with Numero’s existing partnerships with global enterprises and accounting advisory firms such as Connor Group and Uniqus, is expected to accelerate the development and deployment of scalable AI-powered finance agents across enterprise accounting workflows.
