Rightsline Secures $500 Million Investment From Hg to Expand AI-Powered Rights

Rightsline, a provider of rights and royalties management software for IP-intensive industries, has received a $500 million strategic growth investment from technology-focused investor Hg. Existing investor Klass Capital, along with Salem Partners and Rightsline’s management team, will continue investing alongside Hg as the company accelerates product development and international expansion. Rightsline’s platform helps organizations manage complex intellectual property rights, royalties, contracts, and financial workflows across industries including media, publishing, gaming, music, life sciences, and consumer products.

The company processes more than $40 billion in royalties annually and manages over 150 million IP assets across 28 countries. “The IP landscape has become increasingly complex, with more platforms, territories, and contractual complexity than ever,” said Patrick Arkeveld, CEO of Rightsline. Hg said the investment will support Rightsline’s AI roadmap, including tools for automated contract ingestion and natural-language rights analysis, while helping expand the company’s presence across new verticals and global markets.
