B2B cash generation platform Billtrust has announced the commercial launch of the Billtrust Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server. The milestone deployment positions Billtrust as the first accounts receivable (AR) platform to directly stream live invoice-to-cash data to leading enterprise artificial intelligence assistants, including Anthropic’s Claude™ and Microsoft Copilot™.
The integration of data sources covers an area not yet fully addressed in enterprise financial transactions: the gap between original, unprocessed records of accounts receivable and the conversational AI platforms at which key decisions are made. In the past, financial leaders and credit controllers who wanted an up-to-the-minute view of risks needed to enter different accounting interfaces, export flat Excel files, and then match numbers manually from different data sheets.

Similarly, an accounts receivable manager can instantly retrieve a prioritized list of accounts trending late, ordered by outstanding balances and days past due, eliminating hours of manual data preparation.
The AI logic blends a company’s internal ERP, CRM, and financial planning data with Billtrust’s broader B2B intelligence network. Built upon anonymized transaction behavior from over 13 million buyers handling more than $1 trillion in annual invoice volume, the system contextualizes internal metrics against broad market payment trends.
