OneStream Teams With Microsoft to Advance AI for CFO Operations

OneStream and Microsoft have revealed a comprehensive expansion of their strategic alliance and have committed to invest more than the next three years to enhance AI infrastructure and to drive the adoption of artificial intelligence for finance operations.

The expanded partnership will enable finance executives to modernize critical financial and operational activities through the use of artificial intelligence, automation and analytics.

The merged forces of OneStream’s AI-centric financial platform and Microsoft Azure’s cloud and AI platform will form a more intelligent and scalable operating environment for the Office of the CFO. Leveraging their longstanding relationship, the initiative works with companies to help them take their complicated financial data and present it as useful information to improve forecasting planning reporting and decision-making.

The partnership will center around three primary areas of investment:

  • Enhance OneStream customer AI infrastructure via Azure-powered high-performance computing environment to empower PowerSensibleAI reporting models, generative AI solutions, and finance-centric AI agents.
  • Cash3: joint innovation projects of AI-enabled finance flow together with Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft 365 apps.
  • Global go-to-market programs to help other types of large enterprises transition from legacy back-office financial systems to the world of AI-enabled finance.

OneStream’s enterprise financial management platform is built exclusively on Microsoft technology and runs on top of Azure architecture. The AIenabled solutions, SensibleAI Forecast, Studio, and Agents are all available within the Microsoft Marketplace.

As part of the expanded partnership, OneStream will integrate its SensibleAI Agents more deeply into Microsoft’s productivity ecosystem, including Microsoft 365 Copilot Teams Excel, and other Microsoft 365 apps. Such integration allows finance users to access forecasting, anomaly detection, and natural language financial analysis features, while working in normal work projects without switching to additional tools.
