Syntax Data Launches Saidee™, an AI-Powered Portfolio Development Tool for Financial Advisors

Syntax Data has unveiled Saidee™, a new artificial intelligence-powered agent and portfolio development application designed to help financial advisors build and manage customized investment portfolios. The tool is now available to registered investment advisors (RIAs) through Syntax Direct™, the company’s custom indexing platform.

The launch marks a significant step in bringing AI-driven portfolio design capabilities to the advisory community. Saidee enables advisors to create, manage, and present rules-based portfolios and indices while leveraging data-driven insights and automation to streamline the investment development process.

“Saidee is adept at designing indices for all kinds of scenarios and uses,” said Patrick Shaddow, CEO of Syntax. “Saidee is destined to become an essential support tool for RIAs, financial advisors, and investment managers intent on providing better investment solutions for their clients.”

The platform provides four primary capabilities aimed at simplifying portfolio construction. Through its Market Outlook feature, advisors can input their views on economic conditions, specific sectors, or broader market trends, and Saidee will generate a portfolio strategy aligned with those perspectives. The Client Profiles function enables advisors to design portfolios tailored to individual investor characteristics such as age, income level, risk tolerance, and financial goals.

Saidee also includes a Just Good Ideas capability, allowing advisors to translate investment concepts or thematic strategies into structured portfolios. In addition, the Commentary function helps explain portfolio characteristics by generating clear analytics and benchmark comparisons, making it easier for advisors to communicate investment strategies to clients.

Unlike many AI tools that rely on unverified web-based data, Saidee draws from curated, institutional-grade sources, including Syntax’s proprietary datasets. According to Sean Sandys, CTO of Syntax, this approach ensures greater reliability and transparency in portfolio construction. “Most AI tools pull from the open web with minimal control over the data and its sources,” said Sandys. “Saidee is different, drawing on Syntax’s proprietary data and institution-grade processes – and that discipline drives the quality of what comes out.”

The application can also integrate a firm’s proprietary research, including internal market outlooks or investment lists, ensuring that advisors maintain control over the data informing portfolio decisions.

Rory Riggs, Chairman of Syntax, believes the tool represents a major shift in how portfolios are designed. “Saidee is a true gamechanger,” he said. “Using our proprietary data, it helps investment managers create rules-based portfolios that marry sound investment principles with clean and accurate data in ways that were unimaginable as little as six months ago.”
