Alphabet Gains Major Boost as Meta and Apple Turn to Its AI and Cloud Capabilities

Share

Alphabet is emerging as a strategic enabler for two of its largest peers, Meta Platforms and Apple, with both tech giants turning to Google’s cloud and AI capabilities to accelerate their next wave of innovation. For revenue leaders, the deals highlight how infrastructure and platform partnerships are reshaping monetization pathways in the AI economy.

Meta has committed $10 billion over six years to Google Cloud to address its immediate shortage of compute resources. Following an aggressive AI hiring spree, Meta needs scalable infrastructure to support projects from recommendation systems to its new superintelligence division. For Alphabet, the contract represents nearly a 10% lift to its existing $106 billion backlog and strengthens Google Cloud’s trajectory toward improved margins—already expanding but still trailing AWS. The deal underscores how long-term, high-value enterprise agreements are becoming essential to cloud providers’ profitability.

At the same time, Apple is exploring the use of Google’s Gemini large language model to power its long-delayed AI version of Siri. With over two billion active devices, Apple’s adoption could translate into multi-billion-dollar recurring revenue for Alphabet. Beyond the topline impact, such integration would deepen Alphabet’s role in Apple’s ecosystem, reinforcing its position in high-value partnerships despite regulatory scrutiny around its default search engine agreements.

For CROs and revenue leaders, the signal is clear: Alphabet is monetizing AI not only through its own products but also by embedding itself in the revenue models of its largest competitors. With shares trading at roughly 21x forward earnings, Alphabet’s capacity to capture wallet share from both infrastructure (cloud compute) and application (AI models) positions it as a critical player in the monetization of enterprise AI adoption.
