Kinaxis and Workday Partner to Connect Supply Chain, Finance, and Workforce Planning

Share

Kinaxis Inc., a global leader in AI-powered supply chain orchestration, has announced a strategic partnership with Workday to integrate Kinaxis Maestro® with Workday Adaptive Planning. The collaboration aims to give business leaders a unified view of supply chain, finance, and workforce data—enabling faster, more resilient decision-making.

Executives today face mounting disruption, from volatile demand to supply shortages, yet core business functions often remain siloed. Finance, HR, and supply chain operate on different timelines, leaving leaders with fragmented or outdated information. The result is slower responses, inaccurate forecasts, and missed opportunities.

The new integration addresses this gap by applying an AI-enabled, agentic framework across both platforms. The combined solution will allow organizations to model supply chain events alongside their financial and workforce impact in real time. For instance, a sudden demand surge could be evaluated instantly against margin targets, labor requirements, and production capacity—helping executives make profitable decisions in minutes instead of weeks. Similarly, if a supplier goes offline, leaders can assess alternative options and immediately understand the revenue, cost, and staffing implications.

“For the first time, supply chain realities, financial forecasts, and workforce strategies move together,” said Robert Courteau, executive chair at Kinaxis. “With an agentic framework connecting Kinaxis and Workday, executives can act in minutes with confidence, protecting margins, keeping customer commitments, and building resilience through connected scenario planning. With hundreds of joint customers already using both platforms, this partnership builds on that foundation to deliver greater value.”

Rob Enslin, president and chief commercial officer at Workday, added: “Today’s rapidly evolving business environment means leaders need to make critical decisions faster than ever, but often struggle with disconnected data. This partnership with Kinaxis will provide our customers with a unified view of their people, finance, and supply chain data, empowering them to respond with agility and drive profitable growth.”

The joint solution will also deliver industry-specific benefits across sectors such as consumer goods, life sciences, automotive, high-tech, and healthcare. Key capabilities include AI-driven scenario planning, more accurate financial targets rooted in operational reality, and workforce agility by factoring contingent labor, overtime, and hiring needs directly into planning.
