DeepVest Unveils Enterprise Governance Layer to Enforce Compliance Across AI Investment Workflows

Share

DeepVest, a platform that uses AI to help financial advisors personalize portfolios, has rolled out its Firm-Level Governance Structure, which is an additional governance component at the enterprise level for CIOs (chief investment officers), investment committees, and compliance personnel to oversee the activities of AI agents within their firms. They can use the structure to determine the sources of data that are allowed, investment guidelines, methods of getting approvals, and limitations of the final products, etc. to make sure that AI-generated research, portfolio analysis, and client recommendations are in line with internal mandates and regulatory requirements. The release came as the industry recognized the increasing difficulty of balancing the adoption of AI with fiduciary responsibilities, compliance, and regulatory oversight.

With DeepVest, by setting rules determining the behavior of AI before production of analysis, organizations are able to maintain transparency, consistency, and auditability of the investment processes. “The financial services industry has a fiduciary AI problem,” said Toby Wade, CEO at DeepVest. “Firms want the productivity gains of AI agents, but they can’t deploy tools that might recommend off-limits securities, cite unapproved research or bypass compliance workflows. Our Governance Framework addresses this by letting CIOs and investment committees define exactly how AI behaves, which data sources it trusts, which policies it enforces and which outputs require human approval. It’s the difference between a chatbot and a compliant, auditable agent that operates within your firm’s investment mandate.” Available through DeepVest Advisor Premium, the framework builds on the company’s recent AI innovations and follows the successful completion of its SOC 2 Type 2 audit.
