Kingswood Capital Management has completed the final closing of Kingswood Capital Opportunities Fund IV with $3.1 billion in commitments and its inaugural Small Cap Fund I with $900 million, raising a combined $4 billion. The new fundraising effort saw the funds getting over-subscription such that it more than doubled the company’s AUM to $7.2 billion. This development not only strengthens the firm’s middle-market private equity platform but also makes possible the introduction of the company’s new small-cap investment strategy. Two funds raised by the company successfully outperformed their financial raising target levels and generated big investor interest from different institutional investor groups including existing investors as well as the new ones coming from the regions like Europe South America, Asia and Middle East who all were keen enough to take part in it.
