Global financial technology provider FIS® has introduced Digital One™ Commercial in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, completing the platform’s worldwide rollout across the United States, EMEA, and APAC. The core-agnostic digital banking solution gives financial institutions a unified infrastructure to manage business clients ranging from small-to-medium businesses (SMBs) to large enterprise corporations on a single system.
The release arrives as commercial institutions across APAC increase their digital transformation investments. Research from industry analyst firm Celent indicates that corporate banking IT expenditures in APAC expanded by 5.5% in 2025 and accelerated by 6.2% in 2026, driven by demand for enhanced client lifecycle management and corporate digital platforms.
Combining the various Banking Infrastructures in APAC
Until recently, banks in APAC have handled SMB and enterprise customer portfolios separately using isolated, country-specific software systems. The resulting operations silos have led to friction as banks tackle various localization compliance requirements, data sovereignty issues, and rising customer expectations on the provision of real-time digital services.

The Digital One Commercial solution helps overcome these regional limitations by providing a composable API-first structure that works closely with existing systems:
Core-Agnostic & API-First Architecture: The solution is able to integrate to legacy core processing environments as well as allowing for multi-path real-time payments across major payables and collections schemes in regional schemes like PayNow FAST GIRO and SWIFT/ISO.
Unified Business Segmentation: Instead of having separate platforms as customer tier or geographical limit, the solution allows banks to serve both small businesses, medium market enterprises and corporation customers from just one single system.
Multi-market Native Localization: The solution supports multiple currencies, several time zones and also key languages – such as English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Bahasa Malaysia Indonesian Vietnamese – so that customers do not have to rely on translation services. With such support customers will be able to use the platform in their mother tongue, Because of this removing one more language barrier.
End-user Banking & Finance Workflows in Business Customer Accounts: Sellers can perform banking-related actions in the interface of the system they are using. For instance, the seller does not have to log in to their accounting system to get details about money movement as there is direct access to bank account information from their existing financial apps. Such integration reduces data entry work to a minimum This way avoiding potential errors due to manual data entry.
A financial Institution in a country of APAC has already been using Digital One Commercial across 15 countries on one platform that serves approximately 350,000 corporate clients as well as millions of other consumers active in their respective markets.
