Financial and media technology leader Benzinga has rolled out its Private Markets Newsfeed API, a new data solution designed to deliver formatted, publication-friendly private market news reports covering pre-IPO activity, venture capital fundraising, secondary market deals, and other private company corporate events. The system is driven by a REST API and uses it to convert private market signals into news articles complete with ticker symbols, which can be quickly inserted into a wide variety of client applications, ranging from stock broker platforms and venture capital management systems, to private equity research tools, and even custom alert systems. Benzinga’s move effectively frees financial companies from the time-consuming task of in-house data gathering, normalization and interpretation of fragmented private market data.

The new service allows banks and investment Houses a wider vision across markets including the private companies space. Addressing the growing demand for pre-IPO visibility among investors and market platforms, Tommy Cotter, Head of Data Products at Benzinga APIs, stated: “Private markets have always been hard to follow if you’re not an insider. This feed gives brokerages, investors, and research teams a clear view into that activity, right next to the public market data they already trust.” Ultimately, the launch bridges the historical information gap between public and private capital markets, equipping modern fintech platforms, quantitative analysts, and institutional deal-sourcing teams with real-time, actionable insights on high-growth companies before they list publicly.
