CSI Launches Commercial Suite to Empower Community Banks to Win and Retain Complex Business Relationships

Share

End-to-end financial technology provider Computer Services, Inc. (CSI) has officially unveiled the CSI Commercial Suite, a modular technology platform engineered to help community banks capture, scale, and retain commercial banking accounts.

The suite unifies deposit management, multi-rail payments, card issuing, and treasury operations into pre-packaged, out-of-the-box solutions. Pre-integrated into CSI’s core and digital banking platforms, the system links directly with third-party accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems used by commercial clients.

Mitigating Deposit Migration Driven by Fragmented Treasury Tech

As commercial enterprises demand modern, automated cash management, financial institutions face heightened retention risks. Recent research from Datos Insights reveals that 50% of community bank commercial clients are open to switching financial partners within the next two years. Crucially, business leaders cite technology functionality rather than pricing or interest rates as the primary driver for migrating accounts to money-center institutions.

The data further highlights that disjointed, non-communicative software systems represent the single largest cash flow operational complaint among community bank customers. CSI’s new suite eliminates this friction, equipping regional institutions with unified tools to protect local deposit bases, expand non-interest fee revenue, and remain the central operational hub for corporate clients.

Market Perspectives on Modern Commercial Banking Requirements

“Businesses outgrow basic cash management well before they outgrow their bank,” said Gilles Ubaghs, executive advisor with the Commercial Banking & Payments practice at Datos Insights. “The banks that close that gap with more connected capabilities are better placed to keep commercial relationships they’d otherwise be at risk of losing.”

“Community banks are the operating infrastructure of local economies, and every commercial relationship they can’t fully serve means deposits, treasury activity, and eventually lending capacity leaving the community for a bigger bank,” said Nancy Langer, president and CEO of CSI. “With this suite, we’re giving community banks the sophisticated capabilities their business customers now expect, so they can keep those relationships and the local economic activity that comes with them.”

“Commercial clients want relationship banking and technology that fits how they operate, especially in HOA and community association banking, where managing hundreds of associations creates complex account, payment, and reconciliation needs,” said Kara Fox, senior vice president, director of Signature Solutions at Harmony Bank. “The same is true for property managers, law firms, healthcare practices, and municipalities. CSI Commercial Suite will give banks like ours the ability to grow alongside the associations, businesses, and communities we serve.”

Targeted Industry Workflows and Core Architecture

CSI is initially targeting specialized commercial sectors where community banks maintain strong local relationships but have historically struggled with complex operational requirements. Initial focus verticals include:

  • Real Estate & Property Management: Homeowners Associations (HOAs), community associations, landlords, and property management firms.

  • Fiduciary & Trust Accounting: Law firms, client trust accounts, and title companies.

  • Cross-Industry Treasury Operations: Enterprise clients requiring multi-entity fund segregation, real-time balance tracking, and automated reconciliation.

Comprehensive Feature Set

The platform consolidates core commercial operations onto a unified technology layer, removing vendor management burdens:

  • Real-Time Ledgering & Virtual Accounts: Enables business clients to sub-account and track funds by entity, property, or purpose, while delivering a unified relationship view to the bank.

  • Multi-Rail Payment Orchestration: Facilitates seamless transaction routing across ACH, domestic wires, the RTP® network, the FedNow® Service, and card networks.

  • Commercial Card Management: Powers debit, prepaid, virtual, and corporate card programs with granular spend controls.

  • Direct ERP & Accounting Integration: Delivers embedded banking capabilities via open APIs connecting directly to industry-specific ERP systems.

  • Automated Reconciliation & Controls: Offers real-time ledger updates, automated allocations, Positive Pay, audit logging, and configurable administrative permissions.

Powered by Qolo Integration and Early Community Adoption

The launch builds upon CSI’s strategic acquisition of payments infrastructure provider Qolo in July 2026. Qolo’s cloud-native technology serves as the underlying orchestration layer for the CSI Commercial Suite, connecting payment flows, virtual accounts, and business logic directly into CSI’s core engine.

Northeast Texas-based Harmony Bank will be among the early adopters deploying the suite, focusing initial efforts on expanding its community association and HOA banking services across its regional footprint.
