Knowtion Health has launched a strategic partnership with Ghamut Corporation to apply artificial intelligence to complex healthcare revenue cycle management challenges that require more than rules-based automation. The collaboration initially focuses on the appeals process, where AI will help specialists review complex claims by surfacing and synthesizing relevant clinical information, payer policies, regulatory requirements, and other supporting context. Knowtion said the technology is designed to help specialists evaluate more eligible claims and build comprehensive arguments for payment while keeping human judgment central to the process.

Internal testing found that the AI-supported approach substantially increased payment recovery rates, according to the company.”Our specialists bring the judgment and experience needed to navigate complex revenue recovery,” said Mikky Franklin, chief delivery officer, Knowtion Health. “Working with Ghamut gives them a more powerful way to surface the information and context they need to make decisions and accelerate stronger appeals. This is one of several ways we plan to apply AI to strengthen how we serve our clients.”Ghamut founding partner Mohammad Ghassemi, Ph.D., said the partnership combines Knowtion’s claims data and revenue cycle expertise with Ghamut’s technical capabilities to develop practical AI solutions. The companies are also exploring additional AI applications across complex revenue cycle operations.
