Anaplan has introduced a new suite of role-based AI agents designed to embed intelligence directly into core business planning workflows, marking a significant advancement in real-time decision-making for global enterprises. Announced at the company’s Miami event, the launch reinforces Anaplan’s position as a leader in AI-driven scenario planning and analysis.
“Anaplan’s new role-based agents are accelerating time to better outcomes by embedding game-changing AI directly into cross-functional planning use cases and workflows,” said Adam Thier, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Anaplan. “With over a decade of expertise designing, building and deploying millions of models based on proven planning best practices, Anaplan is uniquely able to deliver predictive, generative, and agentic AI that drives decision excellence across the enterprise.”
At the core of the new offering is Anaplan CoModeler, an AI agent that converts natural language into sophisticated planning models and logic, enabling users to create or expand models within minutes. CoModeler also automates documentation, improves governance, and adapts recommendations to industry-specific requirements. Limited availability began in November, with general rollout expected in Q1 2026.
Ed Majors, Global Lead Alliance Partner at Deloitte, praised the development: “We are highly impressed by the innovation Anaplan continues to deliver. In particular, we believe CoModeler represents a transformative advancement for Anaplan customers… CoModeler’s conversational, AI-driven model building is poised to significantly enhance productivity, enabling clients to accelerate the journey from insight to action.”

Beyond CoModeler, Anaplan introduced four additional AI agents tailored to finance, supply chain, sales, and workforce planning. These agents continuously analyze performance data, generate reports, recommend actions and can execute approved decisions, strengthening end-to-end enterprise agility.
The rollout builds on a string of recent AI innovations, including the acquisition of Syrup, which enhances retail forecasting with neural network-based insights; the launch of Anaplan Forecaster, the company’s next-generation ML forecasting engine; and the limited release of Anaplan Custom Agent and Agent Studio for creating bespoke AI analysts. Autonomous agents, capable of detecting anomalies and triggering workflows, are set to arrive in 2026.
IDC’s Megha Kumar noted that Anaplan’s approach addresses key enterprise needs: “By adopting a solution-first approach to enterprise AI and providing no-code model creation and optimization solutions like CoModeler, Anaplan Intelligence addresses key enterprise considerations such as usability, resilience and forecasting, supporting practical and strategic adoption.”
