Digits has launched the MCP Server, allowing accountants, finance departments, and business owners to integrate AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor with their real-time, AI-native ledger. This launch has been made in response to the inherent limitations of conventional accounting software, which relies on fragmented tools and legacy data sets that sometimes necessitate manual intervention. With the MCP Server, there is no need for multiple integrations and disparate data storage since Digits offers a singular data layer that can automate transaction processing.

It can process more than 95% of the transactions, structuring financial data and placing them in uniform and standardized data formats. This way, AI applications will have accurate and timely data for analysis. Available for free across all plans, it unlocks advanced use cases such as real-time financial planning, automated reporting, and conversational financial insights. “Every AI tool has the same dependency: the quality of the data behind it,” said Jeff Seibert, CEO and Founder, Digits. “Digits processes transactions in real time, structures data as objects, and auto-books 95%+ of transactions before any AI agent touches it. That is the difference between an AI that guesses and an AI that knows.”
