Global Payments has announced the renewal and expansion of its long-standing partnership with Lightspeed DMS, a provider of dealer management systems for the recreational vehicle industry. The expanded agreement will support the launch of a new embedded payments offering designed to streamline financial operations for dealerships using the Lightspeed platform.
The partnership extension highlights Global Payments’ growing focus on integrated and embedded payment solutions that help software providers deliver seamless financial experiences directly within their platforms.
Lightspeed to Launch Embedded Payments with Payrix Pro Technology
As part of the next phase of the collaboration, Lightspeed will introduce a new embedded payments experience powered by Global Payments’ Payrix Pro technology. The integration will allow dealership customers to manage payment processing directly within the Lightspeed platform, reducing operational complexity and improving workflow efficiency.
The embedded model is designed to provide dealerships with enhanced visibility into transactions, greater operational control, and a more unified financial management experience across their day-to-day operations.

Since 2009, Lightspeed has partnered with Worldpay, now part of Global Payments, to provide payment processing and security services to its customer network. According to the companies, the relationship has evolved through a collaborative approach focused on scalability, technical support, and customer experience innovation.
“Global Payments’ commitment to partnership and dedication to drive continuous improvement have been instrumental in helping us serve our customers,” said Brian Provost, CEO at Lightspeed. “With this new embedded model, Global Payments has helped us grow at scale and deliver even greater value to our 4,500 plus customers that rely on Lightspeed to power their dealerships and drive their businesses forward.”
Supporting Growth Across Recreational Dealership Industries
Lightspeed’s platform serves dealerships across multiple recreational sectors, including powersports, marine, RV, trailer, and golf car industries. The company provides software tools for sales management, service operations, rentals, CRM, accounting, and inventory management.
By embedding payments directly into the dealer management system, Lightspeed aims to simplify financial workflows while enhancing the overall customer and dealer experience.
Global Payments stated that it will continue to provide operational and technical support to ensure smooth implementation and long-term scalability of the embedded payments infrastructure.
“Lightspeed’s trust in Global Payments for nearly two decades is a testament to the strength of our partnership and shared commitment to delivering value to their users,” said Matt Downs, president of Global Payments’ Integrated and Platforms business. “Through our strong partnership and alignment with Lightspeed’s executives, we are helping them execute a vision of providing their dealers with an improved experience for all things financial services. By delivering a platform that scales with their ambitions – so they can focus on innovation rather than building payments infrastructure – we are enabling Lightspeed to expand faster and with greater confidence. We are excited that Lightspeed chose to build their next generation offering on the Payrix Pro platform.”
Embedded Finance Continues to Drive Software Platform Innovation
The expanded partnership reflects the growing adoption of embedded finance and integrated payment solutions across vertical SaaS platforms and dealer management systems.
As businesses increasingly seek unified operational platforms, embedded payment capabilities are becoming a key differentiator for software providers looking to improve customer retention, streamline workflows, and create new revenue opportunities.
Through the enhanced collaboration, Global Payments and Lightspeed aim to help dealerships modernize payment operations while supporting long-term business growth across the recreational industry.
