Coupa and Celonis Partner to Enhance AI-Driven Procurement and Spend Management

Share

Coupa and Celonis announced a new integration that will enable enterprise to optimize procurement and finance processes using process intelligence and AI-powered automation. Celonis’ process intelligence is integrated with the Coupa autonomous spend management platform that offers companies visibility into their whole procurement process, consumption data and operational inefficiencies.

The new partnership is now available through the Coupa App Marketplace, providing companies the ability to run Celonis Process Intelligence natively within their Coupa platform.

Leveraging Coupa’s comprehensive spend data with Celonis’ proven process analytics platform offers the enterprise with full end to end spend visibility. This combined offering is designed to take organizations from simple reporting dashboards and automatically identify the underlying causes of money leakages, inefficiencies, and process bottlenecks.

“AI Agents are only effective if they are fed the best data, intelligence and context,” said Salvatore Lombardo, Chief Product & Technology Officer at Coupa. “By integrating with Celonis, we achieve this by eliminating the bottlenecks that stifle productivity to provide our Navi AI agents with the best operational context required to execute work autonomously and make the best decisions. Creating this type of business spend brain and agent-to-agent collaboration network empowers our customers to move from manual tasks to more strategic work, with AI agents autonomously handling the tasks, doing the work, and executing the most accurate business decisions with humans always in the loop.”

The integration introduces several operational enhancements aimed at improving procurement and finance efficiency. Key capabilities include identifying and reducing maverick buying, improving procurement policy compliance, accelerating touchless invoicing processes, and optimizing working capital management by harmonizing payment terms and automating discount capture opportunities.

The collaboration also strengthens the contextual intelligence available to Coupa’s Navi AI agents, enabling more accurate autonomous decision-making across procurement and finance workflows.

“AI agents are only as good as the context they’re given. By bringing Celonis Process Intelligence into the Coupa platform, we’re giving those agents a real understanding of how procurement actually runs – across every system involved. That’s what enables Enterprise AI to make a real impact and drive meaningful value,” said Dan Brown, Chief Product and Engineering Officer, at Celonis. “We’re genuinely excited about what this means for Coupa and Celonis customers who are trying to get more value out of their AI investments.”

The partnership reflects growing enterprise demand for connected AI systems capable of automating operational workflows while maintaining transparency and business oversight. Organizations are increasingly seeking integrated intelligence platforms that can bridge fragmented systems and deliver actionable insights in real time.

“With siloed systems often lacking the context to automate work, connected process intelligence is a modern procurement imperative,” said Eric Washer, Coupa SVP Product Strategy. “Celonis on the Coupa App Marketplace gives our customers full transparency to eliminate AI blind spots and capture tremendous business value that is trapped across fragmented systems. Celonis and our entire partner ecosystem is critical to how we rapidly accelerate the adoption and value of Coupa AI for our customers.”

The integration further expands the capabilities available through the Coupa App Marketplace, which provides businesses with certified third-party solutions designed to extend Coupa’s spend management platform while reducing the need for complex custom development.
