Metaforms Secures $9M to Help Market Research Agencies Scale with AI-Driven Workflows

Metaforms, a fast-growing AI startup streamlining operations for market research agencies, has raised $9 million in a Series A funding round to expand its intelligent automation platform. The investment, led by Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia India), with support from Nexus Venture Partners and Together Fund, brings the company’s total funding to over $10 million.

Designed to ease operational bottlenecks in a $130 billion global industry, Metaforms helps agencies automate time-consuming tasks like survey programming, data processing, and panel coordination—all while integrating with widely used tools such as Decipher, SPSS, and Confirmit.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Akshat and Arjun as they reimagine what a market research agency could look like in an AI-first world. Metaforms is scaling rapidly, by enabling some of the largest research agencies globally to automate workflows such as survey programming and data processing through their suite of AI agents,” said Shailendra Singh, Managing Director at Peak XV.

Founded in 2022 by Akshat Tyagi and Arjun S, Metaforms emerged from a challenge the duo faced firsthand: limited access to scalable market research tools. Their platform now serves Fortune 500 companies and four of the world’s top 20 research agencies, including Strat7. Since launching commercially just six months ago, Metaforms has achieved a 100% customer expansion rate and processes more than 1,000 surveys monthly.

Rather than replacing human researchers, Metaforms positions its AI agents as operational enhancers. The platform automates repetitive yet skilled work—like transforming questionnaires into survey code, managing vendor coordination, and flagging data anomalies—allowing agencies to boost capacity and take on more clients without stretching their teams thin.

“Our goal is simple: help great research teams spend less time firefighting and more time doing the work that actually matters,” said Akshat Tyagi, co-founder and CEO of Metaforms. “When you automate the grunt work, you make high-quality research more accessible to more companies.”

The company’s roadmap includes voice-enabled research, AI-assisted report writing, and multilingual support, with ambitions to process over 100,000 surveys annually.

“They’re not just automating tasks — they’re rebuilding research infrastructure for the modern era,” said Manav Garg, Co-founder and Managing Partner at Together Fund.

With strong endorsements from top research firms and investors, Metaforms is positioned to redefine how agencies operate—enabling them to deliver faster, more cost-effective insights in an increasingly competitive landscape.
