Maxio Launches AI Agents to Automate Billing, Collections, and Revenue Management

Share

Introduction of Maxio’s Maxio AI – A Solution That Uses Seven Business and Fintech Data Specialists to Automate Mundane Business Operations Maxio AI is a solution that will automate the processes of mundane business operations for B2B SaaS and AI companies launched. The Maxio AI uses existing contracts, invoices, payments, product usage, and revenue data to automate mundane business operations, notify the users about what should be done next and the next step itself needs to be approved by humans.

What it will do The solution is aimed at helping the finance teams switch from static dashboards, month-end reporting and reconciliation to proactive management of the company. Maxio AI will find possible issues that may cause the dirty close and will give recommendations on how to solve them without changing their billing systems.
Seven AI Agents Target Core Finance Workflows

Maxio AI gives 7 dedicated agents with defined areas of accountability related to finance, billing, and revenue operations.

Close: Tracks financial close readiness, surfaces blockers, and focuses on corrective actions.

Collections: flags accounts for payment reminders, creates email/ltr templates to be signed off before mailing, and steers clear of reminders to solid payors.

Financial Analyst: How Did Revenue Shift Annually, Gained/Retained Revenue? Identify core drivers behind shifts in total ARR, retention, and revenue.

Pricing: Signals relationships between discounting, churn, and realized prices, and produces scenario-based prescriptions.

Order Processing: Validates sales orders against contracts and CRM records before issuing invoices and flags discrepancies.

Use: Assesses product adoption and ARR, renewal cycle to flag possible churn risks and commercial growth opportunities.

Sync: Alerts to unsuccessful syncs between Maxio and other business systems, suggests solutions and resynchronizes, once approved.

By putting these capabilities in its billing platform, Maxio expects that finance teams will spend less time moving between systems or manually troubleshooting day-to-day operational issues.

Keeping Human Oversight at the Center

Maxio AI is built around four principles: human approval, verifiable financial calculations, auditable activity, and customer data separation.

Agents can identify problems and prepare recommended actions, but a person must approve any action that writes or changes information. Organizations can determine how much responsibility each agent receives over time, based on their workflows and confidence in the system.

Financial figures are calculated using reports already available in the customer’s Maxio account rather than generated by the AI. Each figure links back to its source, while checks, recommendations, and approvals are logged to create an auditable record of activity.

The platform also restricts each company’s agents to its own data, with no cross-customer benchmarking. These safeguards are intended to help finance teams use AI while maintaining control over sensitive financial information and business records.

“Finance sees the whole business through its numbers, yet too many teams spend their weeks reconciling the past,” said Branden Jenkins, CEO of Maxio. “Maxio AI gives them those weeks back. The agents do the checking, chasing, and fixing inside Maxio, on numbers finance already trusts, so finance leaders can step out of the close and into the decisions that shape where the company goes.”

Advancing AI-Powered Revenue Operations

The new product is an extension of Maxio’s 15 years of billing, revenue recognition, and collections expertise. Maxio currently manages more than $18 billion in billings for more than 2,000 SaaS, AI, and subscription businesses across the globe.

In a recurring-revenue business, a lot of finance work manages the details of contract terms, usage data invoicing payments and revenue reporting. Problems in any of these areas can cause difficulty in managing cash flow, reporting accuracy, and overall customer retention.

Maxio AI hopes to solve this by tying financial information to the work that needs to be done to make use of it. Finance teams will be able to use the agents to analyze revenue changes, improve collections prioritization, fix data sync issues, and spot renewal risks earlier.

The platform is currently open to early adopters via a waitlist. It is part of a growing movement toward agentic AI systems that report on business data as well as suggest specific actions for review, allowing finance pros to spend less time on mundane tasks and more time thinking strategically.
