Balance, a leading AI-powered financial infrastructure platform for B2B commerce, announced its beta release of the Balance Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server, enabling customers’ AI agents to directly communicate with Balance’s payments, credit, and receivables APIs. By connecting Balance to Large Language Models through MCP, merchants can unlock real-time buyer intelligence and act on it without leaving their preferred AI chat interface.

“Agentic B2B commerce brings intelligence and autonomy to transactions between businesses,” said Bar Geron, Balance’s CEO and Co-Founder. “As B2B ecommerce continues expanding, incorporating the latest developments in AI is crucial to ensure that merchants and marketplaces can keep up. We’re proud to release the beta version of the Balance MCP Server today, another important step on our mission to modernize B2B commerce.”

Real-Time Intelligence for Revenue Operations

With the Balance MCP Server, AI agents used by customers can securely retrieve and act on live data using natural language prompts, from checking a buyer’s credit status to generating qualification links.

Example capabilities include:

  • Portfolio-level visibility: Identify buyers who have stopped ordering, consistently hit credit limits, or shown changes in purchasing behavior.
  • Account-level intelligence: Review payment history, open invoices, upcoming due dates, or order trends ahead of a customer call.
  • Conversational actions: Trigger onboarding, invoicing, and payment links directly from the chat interface.

These capabilities help sales, finance, and support teams move with greater speed and precision, strengthening buyer relationships and maintaining efficiency as B2B ecommerce scales.

“B2B commerce shouldn’t be slowed down by outdated and disjointed systems,” said Yoni Shuster, CTO and Co-Founder of Balance. “When AI agents can handle data retrieval and operational tasks instantly, businesses sell more, suppliers get paid faster, and cash flow becomes more predictable. With the Balance MCP Server, AI agents can become a seamless extension of revenue operations and procurement teams, providing instant insight and the ability to take actions at the very moment they are needed.”
