OpenAI has named Denise Dresser as its new Chief Revenue Officer, a move aimed at strengthening the company’s worldwide revenue strategy and deepening its enterprise footprint as AI becomes an everyday tool for millions of workers. Dresser, who brings extensive experience in scaling high-growth technology platforms, will oversee global revenue, enterprise adoption, and customer success as OpenAI continues its rapid ascent as one of the fastest-growing business platforms in history.

Dresser most recently served as CEO of Slack, where she guided the company through its integration with Salesforce and helped shape how AI enhances workplace productivity and collaboration. Before taking the helm at Slack, she spent more than ten years at Salesforce, building and leading global sales organizations that served some of the company’s largest and most complex customers.

“We’re on a path to put AI tools into the hands of millions of workers, across every industry. Denise has led that kind of shift before, and her experience will help us make AI useful, reliable, and accessible for businesses everywhere,” said Fidji Simo, CEO of Applications.

Her appointment comes as organizations shift from experimentation to enterprise-wide AI deployment. Recent data shows that 75% of workers report improvements in speed or quality due to AI, with many saving up to an hour a day—and heavy users saving more than 10 hours per week. AI is also expanding workforce capabilities, enabling three-quarters of users to complete tasks that were previously difficult or impossible.

OpenAI’s business ecosystem is already robust, with more than one million companies—including Walmart, Morgan Stanley, Intuit, Databricks, Target, and Lowe’s—using its technology to enhance customer experiences, streamline operations, and power core workflows through ChatGPT for Work and API integrations.

“I’ve spent my career helping scale category-defining platforms, and I’m looking forward to bringing that experience to OpenAI as it enters its next phase of enterprise transformation,” said Dresser.
