Calix, Inc. has introduced a new Sales Acceleration Program designed to help broadband service providers (BSPs) evolve into broadband experience providers (BXPs) by transforming their sales operations. Rolled out under the guidance of the award-winning Calix Success organization, the initiative is aimed at equipping BSPs—regardless of size—with the tools, strategy, and training to build scalable, high-performance sales functions centered on delivering exceptional subscriber experiences rather than simply competing on speed or price.

Initially targeting business-to-business (B2B) opportunities, the program enables BSPs to tap into the vast market of 41 million small businesses across the U.S., U.K., and Canada using services like SmartBiz™, Calix’s SmartLife™ solution tailored for small business needs. Future iterations will expand to other market segments.

The program is structured around four key pillars: building a sales-centric culture, implementing sales best practices across functions, cultivating sales leadership, and empowering frontline teams to effectively sell business services. It complements existing Calix Success initiatives such as the Go-to-Market Transformation and Workforce Transformation programs, helping BSPs refine messaging, improve service rollouts, and develop community-based sales talent.
Proven results from the Calix Success team underscore the program’s potential. Since 2018, BSPs working with Calix have achieved a 45% average increase in Net Promoter Scores℠ (NPS®), a 73% rise in ARPU in some cases, and measurable efficiency improvements. Jade Communications, United Fiber, GoFibre, and others have already demonstrated strong growth by leveraging Calix’s strategic guidance.
To enhance operational outcomes further, Calix’s Business Insights Service Optimization now integrates with platforms like Calix Cloud®, billing, and support systems to help providers uncover inefficiencies and scale managed services. Notable improvements include a 12% gain in operational efficiency and a 23% drop in equipment replacements for Blackfoot Communications.
