Franklin Templeton recently partnered with Corastoneto introduce Private Markets Model Portfolios, a new offering that will allow financial advisors to more effectively access private market investments within professionally managed client portfolios. Based on Corastone digital platform, permissioned blockchain network, and Frankiln Templeton’s ability to access both public and private market funds, the solution also incorporates a more efficient operational platform designed to reduce the time and resources required to process subscriptions, administer portfolios, execute rebalancing, and conduct ongoing oversight.

These model portfolios employ an SMA-style, one-time subscription predicated on a single platform at a lower minimum than investing in each private fund separately, combined with diversified. By contrast, large direct investors place separate investments in each specific fund and in this case, rebalancing can be done more often.29 “This launch reflects the evolution of private markets in client portfolios and the need for structures that allow advisors to implement those allocations efficiently,” said George Stephan.
